The early music studio Cantores Vagantes
*Music at the border between two worlds*
|
An evening full of style and elegance.
Additional concert of the series *Estonian Manors 2005* in the unique Pidula manor house.
Beautiful music from the borders of different eras, the misty period
between the High Renaissance and the Baroque. Rare instruments can be
seen and heard: Spanish chromatic harp, recorders (also the G-altos),
transverse flute, pentagonal spinet, chamber organ, rancket etc, most
of them copies of the ancient originals made by Estonian masters.
During the intermission the general manager of the manor Vesa
Lappalainen will introduce the history and future plans of Pidula, in
the language you would prefer.
Estonian Manors 2005 is supporting the foundation Maarja Village,
very near to Mooste Manor in Põlva county, where children with a mental
handicap will find nice and loving home. For medical treatment and
simply for mental pleasure these young people need a piano and other
instruments for musical therapy.
Let us help together to present these children
a piano and other instruments for musical therapy!
