Christmas music festival “Church Holidays in the Land of Mary”

Christmas music festival "CHURCH HOLIDAYS in the LAND of MARY" offers wonderful musical experiences through the whole month of Christmas time from 1st Advent through Christmas and the very last days of the year until Epiphany and beginning of Orthodox Christmas in January. Concerts bring holiday spirit to churches, manorial estates and music lounges all over Estonia. With contemporary musicians, the festival brings the colours and atmosphere of distant ages to modern people.

 

The patron of "Church Holidays in the Land of Mary" is the president of the Estonian Council of Churches, Archbishop Emeritus Andres Põder. The Land of Mary is a second name of Estonia given by Roman Pope already 800 years ago. Performes are professional musicians from Estonia and abroad as well as young interpretes, children learning music, boys' choirs or young people just beginning their career in music.
