C-JAM: it means four
men, four cellos, and beautiful music. The cello quartet is a classical string
quartet and at the same time an improvisational big band. The leader of the
quartet is Pärt Tarvas, the long-time concert master of the cello group of
Estonian National Symphony Orchestra.
REBECCA KONTUS has been singing her whole life. Her singing career began
already when she was 2 years old. She has studied pop and jazz singing at G.
Ots Music School, but she is also able to give a new sound to classical church
hymns. She has a deep, sensitive, dynamic voice; her stage movement is also
remarkable.
Rebecca Kontus and C-Jam have collaborated since last spring.
