On 23 February at 4 pm, concert agency Corelli Music celebrates the anniversary of Republic of Estonia with a spirited matinée „ESTONIAN ROMANCE. THE YEARNING" in cosy Toompea Music Lounge. A renown soprano Kaia Urb and guitarist Heiki Mätlik perform beautiful and yearning songs by Estonian composers that also appear on Kaia Urb's previous album „The Yearning" („Igatsus"). The former Palace of Ungern-Sternberg, the historical building in the heart of Tallinn, is located on the edge of Toompea hill and fascinates with its luxurious interior and glorious view over the sea and the roofs of old town.

In addition to romances by more classical composers, such as Miina Härma, Mihkel Lüdig, August Weizenberg, Konstantin Türnpu and Artur Lemba, the lounge concert includes newer songs by Estonian composers Ester Mägi, Eino Tamberg, Kuldar Sink and Margo Kõlar. The yearning for something beautiful and elusive are added by some Russian romances. In the eve of the anniversary of the Republic of Estonia, the romances by amateur composer August Johannes Torma (1895-1971), known for his diplomatic career, will be premiered. Musicians Kaia Urb and Heiki Mätlik have been collaborated for about two decades and they have recorded five albums together.
