Michael's Swedish Church,
Tallinn
"Organ
music for the beginning of Christmas time"
PERFORMER:
Aivar
Sõerd
(organ)
PROGRAM:
Elating christmassy music perles from baroque to romantic era (G.
Jullien, F. Tunder, J.S. Bach, D. Buxtehude, C. Franck, R. Tobias
etc).
This concert is dedicated to the
organ as an instrument which can be heard in almost every church in
our Land of Mary. Beautiful organ music is a wonderful intro for the
long Christmas awaiting time. Historical Estonian churches as well as
their organs which often were built with the donations of
congregation belong to the European cultural heritage.
During this concert one can hear
beautiful music from different eras under the vaults of St.
Michael's Swedish Church - Balbstre
„Variations de Noël" (Christmas variations), Frank's
„Pastorale", chorale foreplays by Bach and Tobias etc. This
brilliant organ concert will be brought to you by Aivar Sõerd - the
member of the Parliament of Estonia who recently acclaimed a master's
degree in Estonian Academy of Music and Theater.
Enjoy the style and elegance of
former times and todays brilliant musicians!
